China agrees to resume talks on beef.

China has agreed to restart negotiations on access to its beef market, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said in a statement. Japan and China imposed restrictions on U.S. beef imports in 2003 after mad-cow disease, also called bovine spongiform encephalopathy, was found in three U.S. cattle.
