WINNIPEG - Animal feed company Ridley Inc. (TSX:RCL) has agreed to pay $6 million in a settlement agreement with the plaintiffs in several mad cow class action lawsuits filed against the company and the Canadian government.

YAKIMA, Wash. - Beginning Monday, the United States will allow cattle over 30 months of age into the country from Canada, the latest step in a long disruption of trade caused by the discovery of mad cow disease there in 2003.

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Three game operations are under quarantine in Saskatchewan because of chronic wasting disease. One is a white-tailed deer operation north of Moose Jaw, while the other two are hunt operations in Prince Albert.
